Greek Retreat

The Greek Advance retreat for Western was great time for us this past weekend. Here are two pictures. One is Kevin with some of the Sig Ep brothers during a fraternity discussion time. The other is a picture of some AZD's. Catherine was able to spend lots of time with several fo the girls in this sorority. Overall the retreat was great for us personally because we were able to establish deeper relationships with key students in different organizations. Since the Fall we have been asking God to allow us to meet and establish friendships with people in more organizations. That prayer was answered through this retreat. The retreat began on Friday night, and honestly it started kind of lame. We had these community meetings where we were supposed to discuss differend values that we have. It was a great idea, but most people did not know each other and did not open up easily, but by Saturday at lunch people were connecting with other people outside their organization. The last couple of hours on Saturday were the best. This was the time when we were really able to have fun with students and build common experiences. I don't know why, but when you can play dodgeball with a guy and hit him in the face, afterwards you are immediately friends, just because you played dodgeball and hit him in the face. I love it.
