Kevin and I both decided it was about time for us to get back in shape. So, for an early birthday present, my parents bought me a P90X. Tonight was the first night. We are going to try to do it every night after kids go to bed. Knowing 90 min of workout is not realistic for me, my own goal is just to do at least 20 min, 5 days a week. I figure that is reasonable, and then throw in a few stroller walks every once in a while, and I should be back on my way to pre-pregnancy shape. That might take a while, since I was back up to running a few miles with Krieg in the jogging stroller, but I'll get as close as I can.
In other news, I forgot to mention that we bought a house! Well, we're under contract at least. We are really excited about it. It's a little farther from campus than we'd like to be, but it's in a great family neighborhood, with a neighborhood playground about 1/4 mile up the road (and over a big hill!)I'm pretty sure pushing the double stroller to the playground will get my legs in shape real fast. Here's a picture of the front of the house.

Eventful Weekend
It was a busy weekend at the Arrowood house. Karis turned one month old on Friday. My sister flew in from Washington DC to visit for the weekend, and we threw a mini birthday party for Krieg. It was such a fun weekend!! Karis is proving to be more of the textbook baby than Krieg. She slept the whole 2 hours in the car to and from the airport to get my sister, something Krieg would never have done! When we got back from the airport, Krieg jumped right in with Aunt Courtney and she became his playmate for the weekend. He is catching on pretty well that new people in the house are most often better playmates than mommy! Then on Saturday, we had a few friends over to celebrate Krieg's birthday. Just some cupcakes and homemade bubbles. One discovery from the party- fly swatters make great bubble wands! Krieg had a good time with his buddies, but being the introvert that he is, had to take a break and come inside and play by himself for a little while during the party. He takes after his Mama!
We all had a great weekend. Loved having my sister to visit, and just wished she and her husband lived a little closer! Now back to normal life- tagging things for the yard sale this weekend, boxing things up, dealing with two year old tantrums, and teaching Karis to fall asleep on her own. So thankful for God's promises today- "His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness..."

Little Man Turns 2
Our little guy officially became a two-year-old today!! When I look at Karis, it is crazy to think that two years ago Krieg was actually that little. He seems like a giant compared to her! We are so thankful for Krieg and who he is becoming. We've had a rough week or two as the reality of Karis' presence and Mommy's inability to always "play NOW" has finally set in. But, in spite of those moments (or days!) we love our little guy! He continues to make me smile when he walks up the stairs and says things like, "Mommy's pretty" or, "love you" and gives me a big hug. I love that he is learning the words to songs, especially the scripture songs that we've been singing. He is way more musically inclined than Kevin and I, and it's really fun to see him learn through music. His growing imagination has been a huge blessing the last few weeks as we've been stuck in the house a lot more than usual. Last week we spent a good three days playing with an imaginary goldfish named Dorothy (from Elmo's world). We have been building Bear Caves in his crib, like Krieg's current favorite book, Sleep Tight Little Bear. All of these things make me love our little man and look forward to the year to come.
Here are a few pictures that I finally got him to semi pose for. He has been really against pictures lately. We had cupcakes (actually just muffins with candles) for breakfast, and then Krieg's friend Ivy brought over some real cupcakes with icing for dinner, so I let him have the whole thing, icing and all. He loved it!
