It was a busy weekend at the Arrowood house. Karis turned one month old on Friday. My sister flew in from Washington DC to visit for the weekend, and we threw a mini birthday party for Krieg. It was such a fun weekend!! Karis is proving to be more of the textbook baby than Krieg. She slept the whole 2 hours in the car to and from the airport to get my sister, something Krieg would never have done! When we got back from the airport, Krieg jumped right in with Aunt Courtney and she became his playmate for the weekend. He is catching on pretty well that new people in the house are most often better playmates than mommy! Then on Saturday, we had a few friends over to celebrate Krieg's birthday. Just some cupcakes and homemade bubbles. One discovery from the party- fly swatters make great bubble wands! Krieg had a good time with his buddies, but being the introvert that he is, had to take a break and come inside and play by himself for a little while during the party. He takes after his Mama!
We all had a great weekend. Loved having my sister to visit, and just wished she and her husband lived a little closer! Now back to normal life- tagging things for the yard sale this weekend, boxing things up, dealing with two year old tantrums, and teaching Karis to fall asleep on her own. So thankful for God's promises today- "His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness..."
