In one day we leave for the LP at Myrtle Beach for the rest of June, July, and the first week of August. We are excited about the summer but we know that it will be a challenging summer. We wanted to take a day off and enjoy time with one another before we left so yesterday we went on a short hike and swim in the mountains. Devin, a student at Western, is the guy to ask for advice on where to hike or swim in the mountains. His suggestion was Turtle Back Falls and Rainbow Falls in Sapphire, NC. The picture to the left is Kevin standing in the river on top of Turtle Back Falls. You can actually sit down and slide off the falls into the pool below. Once in the pool below you can swim under the falling water and sit or stand on an underwater ledge. You can see Kevin pictured under the falls sitting on the ledge in the picture above.
